Aisle50 is a new site that allows you to load coupons directly to your grocery store card. This is so far only available at Lowe’s Food and at Just $ave. Aisle50 seems to me a combination of a coupon site and a group buying site. The way it works is like this:
Say you want to load a coupon for Clorox Bleach (the current coupon on their site at the moment). Their offer is for Buy One Get One Free Clorox. So, you have to pay for one bottle now. But when you go to the store, you will not have to pay when checking out.
They have lots of offers like the example above which really do not interest me that much because I know that I can get them for cheaper with paper coupons and sales.
BUT, they do have some offers that are completely free. One of them is the 2 liter bottle of Coke when you sign up. And today, I received an e-mail from Aisle50 saying that they loaded a coupon for 2 free 4-packs of Del-Monte Fruit Cups!
They also have a referral program, for those that are interested. If you invite 20 people, you get a $50 American Express gift card.
So, head here and grab yourself a free 2 liter bottle of Coke! Maybe you’ll get more free coupons like I did after getting your free bottle.

Today is Diwali. Diwali is popularly known as the “festival of lights” and is celebrated for different reasons. For Hindus, Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes. Such things include eating yummy food, sweets, dancing, and getting new clothes! For Jains, Diwali marks the attainment of moksha, or nirvana by Mahavira in 527 BC. Diwali involves the lighting of small clay lamps filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil. Happy Diwali everyone!
I think I can say this deal is yummy in my tummy because I love sandwiches! Especially ones from Jersey Mike’s. My friends have long joked that if I lived by a Jersey Mike’s that I would go there everyday to get myself a Giant sandwich, haha. You may laugh, but they’re right – I would totally do it. But I’d probably walk there to get it. I have to digest it somehow you know.
Anyways, the deal on OurLocalDeal today is that you get 4 free sub cards today for the price of 2. So, you pay $14.00 for 4 subs. Not bad since I usually pay almost $9 for my giant. Just so know, you will still have to print your voucher in order for them to give you your 4 “free sub” cards at the shop. There is also the option of having them mailed to you on there for an additional $3.00, but that seems a little silly when you can just take in a piece of paper.
OurLocalDeal is a group buying site (like Groupon) that is exclusive to the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. Occasionally, they will have a deal or two that are located in Durham.
I wonder how long my 4 cards will last? Hmm…I’m thinking a week, tops.
